Recognition and disposition of collective memory

Children’s memories are often forgotten, but there is an exception — when they are repeated again and again. Each time a memory is mentioned, it triggers a conscious response in the brain, allowing it to remain in the mind’s eye for years. Some memories, due to their profound impact, can repeatedly influence a person’s behavior throughout their lives, and they are acutely aware of how such memories have shaped them.

When it comes to collective memory, the same principles apply. Every time a significant event occurs and posts are deleted, some people feel an urge to preserve something. This impulse is rare and precious, and it is aware that it is “constantly losing something”. Thus, actions such as document preservation campaigns are undertaken.

Unfortunately, this is not enough. We have experienced many events, and it is challenging to remember them all. For example, does anyone still remember the vaccine incident of 2016? I can give you many examples. If I had the same amount of time, I would choose to “keep talking”.

Continuous dialogue produces more sincere “memories”. Fortunately, there is a prime example: the “Iron Chain Girl” incident. Unlike other public events, it has a prolonged memory that will likely last for at least two or three years. It is not only a vivid image but also a compelling argument and symbolizes the survival of women throughout the country.
